A few weeks ago us spouses finally got to see first hand what our husbands do. Well, kind of. We can't actually fly with them because we might distract them or something. Whatevs. ("I have to pee!" "I'm going to puke!" "Are we there yet?!" "What's this button do?" And just so you know I tried to ask as may of these questions as possible. Mwa-ha-hah-ha-ha-ha!!!)
Here we are getting briefed. They were probably saying don't annoy the flight engineers at this point. I missed that part. Poor Mikey.
And here comes our ride. You can't really tell but Andy is loading everyone into the helicopter on the ground. If you look really close you can see his legs.
There were a few headsets so we could listen to the pilots but occasionally, our flight engineer (who was actually a pilot) would unplug ours so he could talk to the pilots. It made us sad.
We flew down over Tokyo and came back.
There's Andy again!
Here's the 459th spouses that flew that day. We all got matching shirts that looked like flight suits!
