With the weather being nice finally, Andy and I have actually gotten out and explored more. We've been up to Fuji twice in the last week! We got lost the first time, and stuck on the expressway (which doesn't have hardly any exits!) but the second time up there we were old pros. It's colder up there so the cherry blossoms were just starting. It's so frustrating to me that I don't know cameras well enough to figure out how to get the cherry blossoms AND Fuji in focus. grumble grumble. We stayed on the north half of the mountain and wandered the area know as the Fuji five lakes.
The second time we went up earlier in the day and and got to explore some of the surrounding towns. In We walked up and down the river in Oshino and watched the men fish and people garden.
By the end of the day we made it back to Lake Kawaguchiko, where we were the first day. It's the best view we've found, though we haven't been to the late two lakes, Shojiko and Motosuko, yet. It was much hazier this time around But Fuji is just so impressive.
