Kamakura

The week before we moved, Andy and I ventured by train to a small sea side town called Kamakura. It's a fairly popular day trip. The town is best known for it's giant Buddha, a giant bronze statue  built in 1252 (though according to wikipedia, it's unclear whether it is 100% original) that's about 44ft. tall.  It was hit by more than one tsunami.

The town has several temples and we visited one of them while we were there.
